Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s Wedding: Could Fellow ‘The Voice’ Coach Nick Jonas Perform at the Ceremony?

by Emily Morgan

While Blake Shelton and Nick Jonas may have a rivalry on “The Voice,” there’s no doubt Jonas will be there to see Shelton and Gwen Stefani tie the knot at their upcoming wedding. However, it begs the question: will Jonas be one of the musical acts?

As the couple prepares to walk down the aisle, many fans continue to buzz about who the pair will choose to perform. From John Legend to Luke Bryan to a Jonas Brothers revival — the wedding will no doubt be one for the ages.

Although Jonas has yet to confirm or deny if he’ll be performing, he did reveal that it might cost the couple a pretty penny to get him on stage. “We are very expensive, so Blake, you gotta dish it out,” he hilariously joked during a recent interview with ET.

Having planned his own ceremony with his wife just over two years ago, Jonas said he’s sure the couple’s big day will be one to remember.

“We just planned it really quick, and it all worked out. It all came together,” he recalled of that time in his life. “For Gwen and Blake, I’m sure it’s gonna be a fun night. I’m sure there will be lots of wonderful beverages involved, and I’m so happy for them. I wish them all the best.”

As for “The Voice,” the contestants have also had the help of Mega Mentor: the one and only Snoop Dogg.

Snoop worked with aspiring singers during the show’s Knockout rounds. The rapper shared that he was thrilled to help coach the teams and use his experiences to help the contestants. Yet, he revealed he isn’t playing favorites during his time on the show.

‘The Voice’ Continues To Narrow Down Competition

“It’s hard to say which team that I like working with the best because there’s so much talent inside of each team,” said Snoop. “Each team has some unique singers and some unique artists that could possibly make it past the show. I know only one person’s gonna win, but it seems like there’s about six or seven record deals up in here.”

On Tuesday, the show revealed its top nine contestants. That night, the results marked the biggest elimination so far, with 17 contestants cut nearly in half.

“It’s tough for me too because I’ve been them literally,” said Kelly Clarkson. Clarkson won the first season of “American Idol.”

The signing competition is only two weeks out from crowning the Season 20 winner. So far, Clarkson has a lead over her colleagues with three singers in the top nine. Blake Shelton, John Legend, and Nick Jonas have two singers on their teams.
