Country music superstar Blake Shelton is one of many celebrities and public figures celebrating “Mullet Monday.” The iconic country singer took to social media on Monday to post a “throwback” photo to when he rocked the infamous hairdo.

Unsure if he was participating correctly, Shelton hilariously called upon the help of his future wife, Gwen Stefani. The photo he posts show his “business in the front, party in the back” look he wore proudly when he was a young lad.

Shelton starts off with a hashtag, saying “let me reintroduce myself,” before asking his fiancee for approval. “Let Me Reintroduce Myself” is the name of Stefani’s latest single.

“@gwenstefani did I do this right?” he asks in his Twitter post.

In case you haven’t noticed, the mullet hairstyle is making a comeback, gaining popularity amongst young men all over. The mullet is a hairstyle in which the hair is short at the front and sides, but long at the back. It is typically worn by men but it isn’t unusual to see a female mullet every now and then. Though it was heavily popular in the 1980s, Mullets were typically thought of as novelties until the recent resurgence. Rising country music superstar Morgan Wallen is among celebrities rocking a mullet recently and is a credit to its comeback.

Shelton Mullet Attracts Social Media Attention

Shelton’s social media post and throwback photos lit up social media with jokes and puns aplenty. Some of the singer’s fans even suggest that he regrow his once infamous style.
