On Tuesday (August 31st), Blink-182 bandmate Mark Hoppus shared on Instagram some exciting news about his cancer treatment progress. He can now see hair growing back.

“Hahaha. Look at this trash. This is the top of my head right now,” Mark Hoppus states in the post. “This is what God sees when He looks down upon His work and despairs.”

The rock legend also describes his look as being a “cancer-ass head” and actually shows a bit of sympathy for the hair growth. “Keep your chin up, fighter.”

Hoppus also admitted that he was feeling terrible this week, but trying to stay positive and counting his blessings.

“I hope everyone is doing great, staying healthy, and being kind to each other. If anyone needs me, I’ll be on the couch for the foreseeable future.”

Mark Hoppus Undergoes Fifth Round of Chemotherapy

Mark Hoppus revealed earlier this month that he underwent his fifth round of chemotherapy for Stage 4 Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma. Since announcing the unfortunate health situation in June, the Blink-182 rocker has kept his fans in the loop about his treatments and progress.

“For the past three months I’ve been undergoing chemotherapy for cancer,” Hoppus shared in the initial post. “I have cancer. It sucks and I’m scared.”

Mark Hoppus then stated that he’s blessed with incredible doctors as well as friends and family to get him through this health situation. “I still have months of treatment ahead of me, but I’m trying to remain hopeful and position.”

Hoppus is also keeping his sense of humor intact with hilarious social media posts. Including a post last month, which had a pillow that said: “Hello There.” He captioned the post, “From the @blink182 line of home goods.”

Earlier this month, Mark Hoppus and former Blink-182 bandmate Tom DeLonge reunited on Hoppus’ After School Radio show on Apple Music 1 to reveal that the band almost had film director M. Night Shyamalan direct a music video for them.

“Within an hour [of asking M. Night Shyamalan to direct the video], we’re all sitting together and he’s coming up with ideas for the Blink-182 video,” Hoppus recalls. “And I mean, he did come up with a whole treatment and everything. It was going to cost, whatever it was, $20 million.”

DeLonge then said Shyamalan definitely realized him actually directing the video wasn’t meant to be when reality began to set it. “I think when he found out what the music video budgets really were, he was like, ‘this is so beneath me,” Hoppus’ former bandmate added.
