As the US Open tennis tournament settles in, “Blue Bloods” star Bridget Moynahan remembers a time when she attended the event.
Apparently, Moynahan is a pretty big fan of the national tournament. She’s posted photos from the event dating all the way back to 2012. And last year, when she couldn’t attend, the “Blue Bloods” star posted an adorable throwback pic in its place. She captioned the post, “Throwback Thursdays to when we could go to the @usopen in person and with no mask! Thrilled the US Open is in full swing even without fans cheering from the stands. We are supporting from home though! #tbt#throwbackthursday#throwback#tb#usopen.”
This year, Moynahan took to Twitter and Instagram to share another throwback pic, this one from 2017. In the pic, she rocks an adorable light-colored fedora with a red band. It perfectly matches her star-spangled button-up blouse and dark blue blazer jacket.
By “getting ready,” she could mean getting ready to watch the whole thing from the comfort of her couch, mentally preparing herself for the outcome. Or, she could mean that she’s physically getting ready to attend the event for the first time since 2019. According to ESPN News, the tournament will allow 100% fan capacity this year.
The tournament lasts from Aug. 24 to Sept. 12, so Moynahan could drop in on any day of the US Open. However, “Blue Bloods” is also currently filming the show in New York, making it difficult to take a quick trip across the country for the sports event.
But who knows! Maybe “Blue Bloods” will wrap filming by Sept. 12 and give Moynahan an excuse to pop on over to the US Open. Either way, the next season of the show drops on Friday, Oct. 1 on CBS.
‘Blue Bloods’ Star Bridget Moynahan Urges Followers to ‘Be Kind’
When she’s not kicking butt as Erin Reagan on “Blue Bloods” or obsessing over the U.S. Open, Moynahan likes to keep her followers up to date with current events.
Recently, Moynahan took to social media to share a picture of a sign that’s been going around the internet in the last few weeks. The sign reads, “The whole world is short-staffed. Be kind to those that show up.”
Moynahan captioned the post, “Let’s do this…”
The “Blue Bloods” actress raises a valid point. We could all use a little more kindness in our everyday lives, and short-staffed places of work especially could use it. Even with all her success in television and film, Moynahan likes to keep herself involved and aware of several issues going on in the world that don’t directly affect her.
