“Blue Bloods” fans sometimes will find new ways to watch their favorite CBS crime drama. Some of them have even started watching subtitles.

In a recent Reddit thread, a number of the show’s fans commented on the subtitles.

Redditor Dslwraith said, “Anyone watch with subtitles…. They sigh a lot”.

Fan skieurope12 replied, “Especially Frank”. But another fan, __banned_, wrote, “No, I hadn’t noticed that. It’s funny how a thing like that will become common and ingrained in a tv show.”

‘Blue Bloods’ Viewer Suggests Turning Frank’s Sighs Into Drinking Game

Then “Blue Bloods” fan kagiles chimed in and said, “I’ve said we should turn Frank’s sighs into a drinking game. But we’d probably be dead at the end of one episode.”

TarzansNewSpeedo said, “Frank does it a lot, my old man does it to [too], major pet peeve wish they would scale it back on the show”.

With these fans on this thread, the big takeaway is to start counting how many times NYPD Commissioner Frank Reagan [Tom Selleck] sighs.

“Blue Bloods” comes back for its 12th season on CBS starting on Oct. 1. Selleck will, once again, be joined on the show by Donnie Wahlberg [Detective Danny Reagan], Bridget Moynahan [Assistant District Attorney Erin Reagan], and Will Estes [Sergeant Jamie Reagan].

Yes, expect more of Frank’s sighs we guess, too. Those might be noticed during the dinner table scenes when he’s trying to make a point or listening to family bickering. Who knows? Frank might be led to sighing too much while dealing with weighty issues at the New York Police Department.

He probably will lean a little on Len Cariou, who plays his father, Retired NYPD Commissioner Henry Reagan, on the show. Anytime Frank and Henry get together, it’s worth listening to the conversation.

Will Estes Says Selleck Always Looks Like A Movie Star

Estes is quite in awe of Selleck’s ability to always appear like a movie star. When the “Blue Bloods” star made an appearance in 2012 on CBS’s “The Talk,” Estes expanded on that thought.

“Don’t you find that when you are in a scene with him, because, you know, Tom has come on this show,” said the interviewer. “When he walks into the room, you’re like, ‘Now that’s a star.’ He has this aura about him, it’s like, ‘Wow.'”

Estes replied and said Selleck has quite a gift for looking like a movie star all the time.

“Some people look like movies stars completely on film,” Estes said. “He looks like a movie star when he’s just standing in the room.”

His praise for the “Blue Bloods” star went even further.

“He [Selleck] is incredible,” Estes said. “You know, he’s such a professional. He’s so studied. [And] he knows his characters so well. He could write, produce, and direct that show, and he maintains that he just wants to act in it.”
