by Michael Freeman

In addition to releasing a press release about the upcoming season of NCIS, CBS divulged what to expect from the Season 12 premiere of Blue Bloods. Containing the premiere title, episode details, and cast, it looks like there’s a lot of exciting plot details to look forward to.

“Hate is Hate” is the episode’s name and it will air at 8 p.m. ET on October 1. The episode involves Danny consulting a psychic to solve the murder of a young boy. Meanwhile, after a high-profile shooting, Frank butts heads with the mayor over how they can best protect the city from crime rising. Finally, Erin investigates a cold case where the primary eyewitness is a surprising acquaintance. It turns out D.A. Kimberly Crawford, Erin’s boss, witnessed the killing when she was only 13 years old.

According to the cast list, all the regular characters should appear. This includes Tom Selleck, Bridget Moynahan, Donnie Wahlberg, Will Estes, Len Carious, Sami Gayle, Marisa Ramirez, and Vanessa Ray. The press release states Callie Thorne is set to reprise her role as the psychic, Maggie Gibson. Dylan Walsh also will appear as Mayor Peter Chase.

Season 12 will seemingly boast a large number of guests, too. Jenn Gambatese will star as Naomi Chesnick. While David Lee Huynh and Carmen M. Herlihy will be Minh Tran and Han Tran respectively. The list is extensive and it’s interesting to note exact character details for some of the guest cast haven’t been released, perhaps to be a surprise or to avoid spoilers.

Regardless, the Season 12 premiere promises to be eventful.

‘Blue Bloods’ Star Wishes Wife Happy Birthday

No stranger to heartfelt, inspirational posts, Donnie Wahlberg recently did so for his wife. Celebrating their seven-year anniversary, Wahlberg wished Jenny McCarthy a happy anniversary with a touching Instagram post.

#HappyAnniversary Jenny! Seven years — no itch!” Wahlberg captions the post. “I love you more than ever, Mrs. Wahlberg. To be blessed with a partner whose goal is to make sure that I love myself more and more each day — is to be truly blessed.”

Continuing, Wahlberg writes “thank you for holding me down, while always holding my kite string and letting me fly. You are my soul mate in every way. My heart is overflowing with gratitude, appreciation, and unconditional love, for you. I love you, Lady.”

The happy couple married one another on August 31, 2014, in St. Charles, Illinois. They even renew their vows every year on their anniversary, something Wahlberg also mentions. “Thank you Reverend Ray McElroy (aka @bellboy47), my friend and Minister, for helping me surprise my wife again (got ya baby) and for gracing us with your wisdom and your blessing.”

The two clearly adore each other and it’s refreshing to see Wahlberg receive the love he’s always talking about.
