All across the country, many households reserve Friday evenings for brand new episodes of CBS’s Blue Bloods. However, this time of year is traditionally when shows such as Blue Bloods take small breaks. These breaks are primarily due to the busy holiday season schedules.

So, what does this mean for tonight, Friday, November 26? Can fans of the popular series expect a new episode this evening?

Unfortunately, the answer to this question is no. The next brand-new Blue Bloods premiere is scheduled for Friday, December 3. However, this doesn’t mean that fans of the popular police procedural will be left hanging, either.

The popular CBS series may not be presenting any brand-new premieres tonight. However, fans do not have to worry because the network still has them covered.

Why? Because CBS has opted to rerun a season eleven favorite in the series’s primetime spotlight.

A Throwback Evening For ‘Blue Bloods’ Fans!

Tonight’s episode will be the sixth episode in Blue Bloods eleventh season titled The New Normal.

In this episode, members of the multigenerational law-enforcement family, the Reagan’s, face a variety of hard choices.

First, the Reagan family patriarch, Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) deals with a struggling police captain.

This captain is facing some potentially deadly and dangerous concerns as he loses his grip over his precinct.

Elsewhere, one of Frank’s children, NYPD police detective Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) faces some backlash from his partner Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) and the Internal Affairs office regarding a recent on-the-job event.

The internal affairs office investigates Danny Reagan over a questionable call he made in the field.

This rerun episode will also take fans down memory lane as another one of the Reagan sons, Jamie Reagan (Will Estes), and his partner (and wife) Eddie learn all about what it takes to operate in the field on the streets of New York.

‘Blue Bloods’ Players Form An Unexpected Partnership

It will still be another week before Blue Bloods fans can watch the twelfth season’s newest episode Reality Check. However, some sneak peeks have already been released to tease fans of the series.

In this episode, Blue Bloods fans can expect to see an unexpected partnership form as Wahlberg’s Danny Reagan teams up with Steve Schirripa’s Anthony from the New York City District Attorney’s office.

In the December 3 episode, fans will see the unexpected pair working together as they investigate a case in which Anthony’s cousin, Joey, is involved.

Anthony, who began his time within the New York City legal system as a detective, certainly knows how the process works while working in the field. And, because of his close connection to the particular case that Danny Reagan is investigating, it makes sense that Schirripa’s Anthony joins the detective in the investigation process.

Of course, this likely won’t mean Schrippa’s character will continue to work in the field. But, it will likely serve as a sort of “homecoming” moment for the former detective.
