It looks like Blue Bloods star Sami Gayle is back at what she loves doing most. And that is spending time with some of her close friends.
If you are a loyal Blue Bloods fan like us here at Outsider, then you already know about Sami Gayle aka Nicole “Nicky” Reagan-Boyle. The 25-year-old actress has basically grown up on the show. She plays the daughter of Erin Reagan (played by Bridget Moynahan) and the granddaughter of Frank Reagan (played by Tom Selleck). What’s crazy is that she made her first appearance on the show when she was just 14 years old.
Gayle’s character was a regular on the police drama from seasons 2 through 10. But things have changed. As a matter of fact, Gayle only made one appearance during season 11 of the show. And since then, producers have not officially said one way or another about what the status of her character is moving forward. All we currently know is that her absence is being attributed to Gayle graduating from Columbia University and being busy with other projects.
But on Wednesday, Gayle took to social media once again to post a photo of her and her friends chasing the northern lights up in Alaska. Check it out down below:
“Wouldn’t rather chase the northern lights (and almost not get to see them) with any other team! Check out my stories for our crazy tale with so many twists and turns…”
‘Blue Bloods’ Star Regularly Spends Time With Her Friends
Wednesday night wasn’t the first time that Blue Bloods star Sami Gayle has posted online about hanging out with her friends. It’s clear that not only does she have an insanely busy schedule, but she also has a ton of close friends that she juggles to make time for. We have been following her journey this summer through the photos she’s posted to social media.
Over the last couple of months, the Blue Bloods actress has posted multiple snaps and video clips of her and her friends hanging out. Several of her friends even attended Columbia University. That’s the same school that she went to. And fun fact, that’s the same school that her character on Blue Bloods goes to as well. She once explained how hectic her schedule could be trying to balance her work, her schooling, and her friends.
“We shot Wednesday to Sunday schedule,” Gayle told Hollywood Life in 2018. I did this for about seven weeks. On Sunday night, we’d finish shooting, I don’t know maybe at three or four in the morning. I’d get on a plane at 6 a.m., I would come to New York, shoot ‘Blue Bloods’ in the morning, then I would go to school.”
