Fans Are Loving the ‘Blue Bloods’ Star’s Look
“Blue Bloods” fans were quick to hype Hawk after she posted her photos. One fan wrote, “So pretty. Love your pants.” Another wrote, “Love this outfit so much!” Another user replied, “Looking marvelous darling.” Dozens of users said that they loved Hawk’s nautical-themed jeans.
Abigail Hawk Said One Scene on the Show Made Her Go Home and Hug Her Husband
The show established early on that Abigail Hawk’s character on “Blue Bloods”, Detective Abigail Baker, was married on the show. But neither fans nor Hawk knew anything else. The show never really provided any background information on Detective Baker’s husband. That is until Season Nine revealed that Baker’s husband, Brian Baker, was a New York City police officer. During Season nine’s seventh episode, a suspect that Brian arrested is released on bail. The suspect returns to his apartment to get a gun, then finds Brian and his partner and shoots them both.
“We had never been spoken about him except in passing. I knew his name was Brian, which incidentally is also the name of my husband,” said Baker during an interview in 2019. “I’d already made a lot of decisions about who he was and what he did for a living. And then we find out in the first episode that he is a cop. So then I retrained my brain to know that he is a cop. Then we find out he has a near-death experience.”
After sharing that her real-life husband’s name is Brian as well, Hawk got a little more serious. She said that having to watch her onscreen husband named Brian gets shot on the show was a little too “close to home” for the “Blue Bloods” actress.
“When I saw that episode, even after reading the script. I don’t think I was prepared for how intense that first scene was when he gets shot in the cop car. That ambush scene was insane, just up close and personal. It was just too close to home. The whole Brian thing. I went home and hug my husband very hard that night.
