A Wahlberg super fan got the surprise of a lifetime when she was greeted by none other than Donnie Wahlberg himself.

Nicole, a Wahlburgers’ employee in St. Charles, Ill., got a visit from one of the co-founding members of the family-owned burger chain and shared her delight on social media.

“Didn’t know how much I missed and needed this hug! We are sitting here in tears of gratitude & love for our BH family &for the kindness of a man who always puts others first,” she wrote in a Twitter post about her surprise run-in with Donnie Wahlberg.

In addition, she also shared a heartwarming pic of the sweet moment in which the two share a warm embrace. In the replies section, Wahlberg couldn’t help but comment on the post. “Now I’m crying in private,” the New Kids on the Block member wrote, alongside a crying emoji.

Wahlburger Employee Gets Surprised

The St. Charles restaurant opened back in the Summer of 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic that caused thousands of restaurants to shut down due to social distancing restrictions.

“St. Charles holds a very special place in my heart,” said Wahlberg at the time. Wahlberg and his wife, actress Jenny McCarthy, reside in the western suburb. “Like so many in our industry, we’ve faced a lot of setbacks due to the impact of COVID-19, but we are determined to deliver on my promise to bring a safe, exciting and unique dining experience to the Fox Valley.”

Donnie Wahlberg founded the Wahlburgers restaurant franchise with his two brothers, veteran actor Mark and chef Paul. The brothers had initially planned to open the St. Charles location in April of 2020, but Donnie Wahlberg postponed the opening about a month after the coronavirus outbreak.

However, they postponed the opening “to make sure they can give guests the best dining experience possible.”

Donnie Wahlberg & Jenny Mccarthy Reportedly Looking Into IVF

In other Wahlberg news, Jenny McCarthy and her husband reportedly want to welcome a little one into the world and potentially wish to welcome a baby after six years of marriage.

In November, it was rumored the couple was “flushed with baby fever.” Although the couple has three kids from previous marriages, they reportedly didn’t feel like their family was complete.

According to a source, Wahlberg warmed up to the idea of becoming a dad since their kids are older. Yet, they may run into a roadblock, considering McCarthy is 48 and Wahlberg is 51. However, a source indicated the couple was looking into IVF.

“She’s keen to make this happen sooner rather than later, so they may hurry and go the IVF route,” they said.
