‘Blue Bloods’ Star Donnie Wahlberg Sends Message of Gratitude for ‘Monday Motivation’ We All Need to Hear

by John Jamison

Donnie Wahlberg’s gratitude is infectious. The “Blue Bloods” star always seems to put things in perspective, and his fans love him for it. Even his approach to the dreaded prospect of Monday morning is overwhelmingly positive. His tweet may as well be a cup of coffee.

Wahlberg addressed the much-maligned day of the week directly. He told Monday that he’s grateful for every moment because there was no guarantee he’d get to experience any of them. And when he puts it like that… yeah, it’s hard to take the day for granted.

The “Blue Bloods” star’s positivity is impossible to combat. His Twitter account is one huge motivational lovefest, and it’s exactly the type of content we need on a Monday morning. Whether it’s related to his family, New Kids on the Block, or “Blue Bloods,” Wahlberg never has a harsh word to share.

Following a huge New Kids on the Block concert in his hometown of Boston over the weekend, Wahlberg has plenty to be thankful for. It’s safe to say his fans are taking some inspiration and trying to follow his example.

“So THANKFUL for you and all the hard work and passion you put into everything. I hope you get some rest on this Monday,” a Twitter fan replied.

“My cup is full and my heart filled with joy! I’ll take your Monday motivational words to hold me thru until a new tour! … it’s off to work I go …,” another added.

“Good morning Donnie thank you for this beautiful reminder to cherish Monday instead of dreading it because it wasn’t promised. I’m with you to live today to the fullest and to be thankful for every moment we share,” another fan observed.

Donnie Wahlberg And Company Are Hard At Work On ‘Blue Bloods’ Season 12

A few weeks ago, Donnie Wahlberg posted a picture of him walking alongside Marisa Ramirez on the set of “Blue Bloods.” As Danny Reagan and Maria Baez, the pair looked camera-ready.

We’ve seen the same types of posts from other cast members over the last two weeks. With work on Season 12 of the hit CBS police drama finally underway, fans can hardly contain themselves. They can’t wait to see their favorite characters pick back up where they left off.

And it’s no wonder, given the amount of thought that has gone into them over the years. Developing the characters further is one of the main goals of each new season, according to “Blue Bloods” showrunner Kevin Wade.

“The main thing that we try to do every season is take our characters a year older, a year wiser, in some cases a year less cautious, and let them loose, write to those actors. We have to give them new dimensions every year because they need something to play that they haven’t played before,” Wade told TV Line in May.

It doesn’t look like Season 12 is an exception.
