According to a recent social media post, “Blue Bloods” star Steve Schirripa has called off an upcoming event. The 64-year-old actor shared the disappointing news on Saturday, Oct. 23.
Here’s what the former star of “The Sopranos” had to say: “Do (sic) to unforeseen circumstances the event in Port Washington has been cancelled. Please contact the venue, Landmark Theater, for more information on how to receive a refund. As we have more information, we will share.”
Now, you might be asking, “Just what event the ‘Blue Bloods’ actor has cancelled?” Well, another social post by Schirripa holds the answer. He also recently posted information about a book tour he and his “Sopranos” co-star Michael Imperioli have planned.
According to the post, they had three events on their upcoming calendars. The first was on Nov. 2, in Ridgewood, New Jersey, at Bookends. The next was the Port Washington, New York, event at the Landmark Theater. This is the event that was just called off. Also, the final book tour stop the “Blue Bloods” actor announced was a virtual event with Barnes & Noble. It is set for Nov. 8 at 7 p.m.
“All events include a signed copy of the book,” Steve Schrippa also shared on Instagram. “Each event will be unique and tickers are very limited.”

As pointed out in the post above, the book “Blue Bloods” star Steve Schrippa and actor Michael Imperioli are planning to showcase with the upcoming events is “Woke Up This Morning: The Definitive Oral History of ‘The Sopranos.’“
The release date for the new book is Tuesday, Nov. 2. It will include stories about the beloved HBO drama that fans may have never heard before. As fans of the show are aware, Imperioli played the character of Christopher Moltisanti, while Schrippa played “Bobby Baccalieri.”
“Who made the phone call that got HBO to launch ‘The Sopranos’? What’s the significance of all those eggs? And, what the hell ever happened to the Russian? Michael Imperioli, Steve Schirripa, and the entire cast and crew of ‘The Sopranos’ have all the answers—and they’re revealing where all the bodies are buried,” the description of the book also reads.
Schrippa and Imperioli also worked with Philip Lerman on the book. Also, the new book has its inspiration in a podcast the two actors host. It is titled “Talking Sopranos.”
The “Blue Bloods” actor also enjoys showing off his dog, Willie, on Instagram. In another recent post, Steve Schrippa combined his love for his adorable dog with his work on the podcast. “Willie Boy and I are hard at work on our next podcast episode,” he also shared.
Of course, the post was noticed by Imperioli. “My replacement,” he jokingly said.
