Blue Bloods star Tom Selleck’s daughter Hannah just posted a fun workout pic in the summer sun. Hannah is a passionate Equestrian. In the new pic, she gave fans an update on what’s going on with herself and her horses.
“Working on surrender,” she wrote. “It’s been a summer of curveballs, but sights are set on @thunderbirdshowpark. Thankful to have all [horses] fit & healthy after battling an equine coronavirus outbreak in June & July, resulting in many changing plans. Most importantly SO looking forward to being back in FEI competition for the first time since March 2020.”
Hanna’s fans and friends cheered her on in the comments for all her accomplishments this year. She became interested in horses thanks to her father‘s decision to move their family to a 65-acre ranch once the kids were born.
Hanna’s ‘Blue Bloods’ Star Father Encouraged Her to Pursue Her Own Dreams
Hanna found a passion in horseback riding as a child and went to college to pursue the sport professionally. This is all thanks to the encouragement she received from her parents. Her Blue Bloods star father was more than happy to encourage his kids to pursue whatever they wanted to.
“Because [my parents are] both artists, they believe in the idea that you have to be very passionate about what you do to be successful,” Hannah explained to Equestrian Living. “They encouraged me to be passionate about it and immersed in it. And from there it was kind of on me how much I wanted it. They always let me take the lead.”
Now, Hannah Selleck owns her own horse facility that she opened in 2010. While her father is busy on Blue Bloods, Hannah is training horses for competition.
“With all of our young horses, it’s an incredible feeling when you get to see them start going under saddle and jumping and really witnessing their future potential,” Hannah explained. “It wasn’t so tangible until I started riding them. Once the first one started showing, then I realized, ’Okay, this is real. We’re going to have a lot of horses coming up.’”
And while Hannah absolutely kills it in the show ring, her father Tom wows fans with his performance on Blue Bloods. Whether it’s in the show-ring or behind the camera, the family is truly successful all around.
But despite the fact that Hannah lucked out with her family’s ranch as a child, she still remembers to take in. the moment and be grateful.
“You want to enjoy that moment that you’re in—whether it’s in the show ring or training the young horses at home—because we are so, so lucky to work with these animals every day.”
