Bob Odenkirk Rushed to Hospital After Collapsing on ‘Better Call Saul’ Set

Bob Odenkirk is the star and main character of AMC’s Better Call Saul. He was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday after he reportedly collapsed on the set of the show.

TMZ was among the first to report what had happened. The outlet received word from production sources on the show that they were filming on the Sony Lot in Culver City. When Odenkirk collapsed, he was quickly surrounded by cast and crew members to make sure he was alright. They immediately called an ambulance to the set to attend to the 58-year-old actor.

Paramedics were called at approximately 11:34 a.m. due to the medical emergency. However, we do not know if the star actor was conscious or not after he went down or while he was being transported. We also do not officially know what the cause of the collapse was. All we know is that he is still currently in the hospital and is under the close watch of doctors.

Odenkirk is without a doubt best known for his role as the crooked lawyer Saul Goodman. He became a breakout star for playing that same role — albeit as a side role — on the AMC hit drama series Breaking Bad. That show aired from 2008 until 2013. And because he wound up being such a fan favorite, AMC decided to feature him as the star and lead in his own show — Better Call Saul. He was playing the exact same crooked lawyer that we all love.

As a matter of fact, Odenkirk was in the process of filming the sixth season of Better Caul Saul when he collapsed on Tuesday. As of right now, representatives for AMC, Sony Pictures Television, and High Bridge Productions have yet to comment on Bob Odenkirk’s medical emergency.

Other Places You Have Seen Bob Odenkirk

There is no doubt that crazy success that followed Bob Odenkirk after Breaking Bad and Better Caul Saul. He quickly found himself working on other big-time projects.

You will definitely recognize some of them if not all of them. He had roles in mainstream shows and movies like Nebraska, Fargo, The Post, Incredibles 2, Little Women, and Nobody.

However, it’s Better Call Saul that is on everyone’s mind right now. As Odenkirk and the rest of the cast look to wrap up filming for the show’s final season, fans are inching closer to seeing his character become the same one they fell in love with on Breaking Bad.

When speaking to Digital Spy back in June Odenkirk said he had mixed feelings about the show coming to an end.

“I have very mixed feelings. I don’t think you can watch the show, and I can’t play this guy, without growing to want him to succeed, and liking him, and wanting to be a better version of himself, is really what I want. I’m not sure that’s where he’ll end up, though.
