Bobby Brown speaks out for the first time after the death of his 28-year-old-son, Bobby Brown Jr., stepson to late Whitney Houston.

Speaking to Fox News via his agent, Bobby Brown wishes for prayers for his family after the death of his young son, Bobby Brown Jr.

“Please keep my family in your prayers at this time,” Brown asks. “Losing my son at this point in our lives has devastated my family. There are no words to explain the pain.”

Brown Jr. was found after his death on Wednesday. The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a medical emergency and found the 28-year-old’s body at the scene. No foul play has been cited.

Further reports claim that Brown Jr. was experiencing “flu-like symptoms” in the time before his passing. Another source, through TMZ, says he did not have COVID-19.

In addition, LAPD tells Fox News that no causative substances were found at the scene of his death. A toxicology report, however, will still be done.

Tragic History of Bobby Brown & Family

R&B icon Bobby Brown had his son, Bobby Brown Jr., with Kim Ward. Ward was an on & off romance for the singer. Surviving Jr. are his siblings Landon, La’Princia, Cassius, Bodhi, and Hendrix.

Brown was also the father to Whitney Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown. Bobbi tragically died in 2015 at the young age of 22. Her heartbreaking death came after she was found in a bathtub. From there, she spent several months in a coma for brain damage. She passed surrounded by family in her hospital bed.

Furthermore, Bobby Jr.’s stepmother, the iconic Whitney Houston, died in 2012 at 48. Houston was also found in a bathtub, but had drowned before authorities could save her. Several drugs were found in her system at the time of passing.

Houston and Brown were wed for almost two decades. In 2012, he wed Alicia Etheredge, who is mother to his three youngest.
