Something that will touch your hearts, Outsiders, comes by way of “Brady Bunch” star Maureen McCormick and a sweet pic.
McCormick, who played the oldest sister, Marcia Brady, on the classic ABC sitcom, shared a picture of her and her husband with their daughter celebrating Daughters Day.
Obviously, McCormick is the middle. On her right is her husband, Michael Cummings. On her left is their daughter, Natalie Michelle Cummings.
Her life after the “Brady Bunch” left ABC after a five-season run led Maureen McCormick down some dark paths. The actress found herself in the depths of drug addiction and lost roles because of it. Among the things McCormick reportedly was addicted to included cocaine and quaaludes.

She also would reportedly battle depression and bulimia in her life.
Among the shows that McCormick did appear on in the 1970s and 1980s included “The Streets of San Francisco,” “The Love Boat,” “Fantasy Island,” and “Donny and Marie.”
As we mentioned earlier, Cummings appears with McCormick and their daughter in the picture above. He married McCormick on March 16, 1985, and the “Brady Bunch” star said that it helped save her life.
“I was going to crazy parties, doing crazy things,” she said in an interview while appearing on “Dancing with the Stars.”
“Drugs were everywhere,” McCormick said. She also admitted that she lost control of herself and did things that did not help her self-esteem.
McCormick Admitted That She Had Trouble Differentiating Between Role, Real Life
One thing the “Brady Bunch” star also said was she didn’t know where Marcia ended and Maureen began. McCormick also said she felt like that, in public, she needed to be her most famous TV role. But she started dating Cummings in the 1980s. When she went through a drug relapse, Cummings drew the line.
McCormick talked about it in an interview with Us Weekly.
“He came to me and said, ‘If you ever do this drug again, I’m gone, I’m leaving,'” McCormick said. “It woke me up. It was like the coldest shower you could ever take, there’s just no way I’m gonna lose somebody that I love.”
One actor whom she looked up to was actor Ed Asner, who recently died. She spoke of him when chatting with The Hollywood Reporter.
“It’s because of Ed that I even wanted to get into this business — seeing him and everyone on The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” McCormick said. “I never dreamed that I would be able to work with him or know him, but I just fell in love with him and his character.”
