Allegedly, Bruce Springsteen was arrested in November.
TMZ has reported that he is in the middle of a DWI case after an incident in his homestate, New Jersey.
Apparently, he was arrested on November 14 at the Gateway National Recreation Area in Sandy Hook, New Jersey. His citations include DWI, reckless driving, as well as consuming alcohol in a closed area.
Springsteen has had no previous arrests related to drinking and driving in the past. TMZ said they have reached out to his team for comment, but have not heard anything. Springsteen has not confirmed the incident.
This weekend, Bruce Springsteen was the star of his own Super Bowl Sunday commercial. He was in a commercial for Jeep. The ad was a message of finding “the middle” during difficult times of uncertainty and unrest.
“All are more than welcome to come meet here in the middle. It’s no secret the middle has been a hard place to get to lately, between red and blue, between servant and citizen, between our freedom and our fear,” Springsteen said in the ad.

Springsteen has never shied away from using his music as a platform to talk about important topics that may be controversial.
He has been vocal regarding police brutality in the past.
According to NME, during his home radio show, “From His Home To Yours,” Springsteen shared a tribute to George Floyd. George Floyd was killed when an officer kneeled on his neck during his arrest, despite Floyd vocalizing that he couldn’t breathe.
He performed his song “American Skin (41 Shots).” This was a song originally written after the killing of Amadou Diallo in 1999. He was an unarmed Guinean immigrant shot by New York City officers.
Springsteen said in the show that the song represented now “how long it took George Floyd to die with a Minneapolis officer’s knee buried into his neck.”
He went on to say, “That’s a long time. That’s how long he begged for help and said he couldn’t breathe. The arresting officer’s response was nothing but silence and weight. Then he had no pulse. And still it went on…May he rest in peace.”
Springsteen also played “This Is America” by Childish Gambino, “Who Will Survive in America” by Kanye West, and Bob Dylan’s “Murder Most Foul.”
He said in reference to everything, “We need systemic changes in our law enforcement departments and in the political will of our national citizenry to once again move forward to the kind of changes that will bring the ideals of the Civil Rights movement once again to life and into this moment.”
