Candace Cameron Bure is clapping back at haters on social media. The “Fuller House” actress shared a photo of her family on Instagram that receiving criticism.
While the photo is wishing for a positive 2021, the pic is getting quite the opposite reaction online.
“Happy New Year from the Bures!! Looking forward to what 2021 has in store. I’m praying for unity, grace, humility, compassion and love for mankind. With God, all things are possible 🙏🏻. Sending virtual hugs and kisses! XO P.S. I think my social media break is now over 😉,” Bure writes.
Some of the comments say that her photo looked “weird”, and like a “Ralph Lauren” ad. Other critics mocked some of her kids’ facial expressions.
Bure not only responds in the comments with, “Wow- I post a family photo and you all find everything you don’t like about it or can make fun of. Do better than that. Please,” but she also addresses it on E!’s Daily Pop.
“You know, people forget that — yes, I’m a celebrity — but I’m a real person,” Bure said in the E! interview. “I was simply sharing a family Christmas card. And it’s so strange to me that people have the audacity to write horrible and negative comments. Like, you would never say that to someone’s face.”
Bure also comments about addressing the comments at the moment, “It was more about a reminder, like, I’m sharing the best of what I believe my family is on a Christmas card, so keep your mouth shut.”
The 44-year-old does make a good point, “If you don’t like it, just scroll on.” After all, that is the beauty of the app.
Not the First Time Candace Cameron Bure Defends Social Media Post
The Hallmark star shared a photo in November of last year that received some backlash from critics. Bure was posing with her retired hockey player husband, Val Bure. However, it’s his hand placement that has the social media trolls crawling out from under their bridges. Val casually has his hand on Cadance’s breast.
Bure didn’t feel one bit of remorse for sharing the photo. She writes, “Classic Val. He approved this post.” She also says that she found the criticism funny and that she and her husband “have so much fun together.”
“I was like, ‘You know what guys? I’ve been married for 24 years. I’m a Christian, my husband’s a Christian, and I’m really proud that we’ve managed to stay married for 24 years,'” Candace said on the Confessions Of A Crappy Christian podcast.
What’s more, just last week Bure was criticized over some of the accounts she follows on Twitter and Instagram.
