Candace Cameron Bure Responds to Backlash Over ‘Inappropriate’ Photo With Husband

Candace Cameron Bure is defending herself against backlash after she posted an “inappropriate” photo with her husband, Valeri Bure. Some of her conservative and Christian fanbase found the photo offensive and criticized the actress.

In the photo, Cameron Bure’s husband had his arm wrapped around her, with his hand on the actress’s breast. She posted it to her Instagram with the caption: “Classic Val. He approved this post.”

Cameron Bure later deleted the photo from her Instagram page, but she eventually re-uploaded the picture to her Instagram stories. The Fuller House actress called out those who are judging her for the photo and voiced her disdain for not being able to be affectionate with her husband.

Candace Cameron Bure refused to apologize for the photo.

“For all of the Christians that are questioning my post with my husband’s hand on my boob — my husband of 24 years — thinking it was inappropriate, it makes me laugh because it’s my husband. We have so much fun together,” Cameron Bure told The Daily Mail.

The couple have been married since 1996 and share three kids together. A former professional hockey player, Valeri played for 10 seasons in the NHL. The two have been busy preparing for her eldest son Lev’s upcoming wedding.

“He can touch me any time he wants, and I hope he does,” Cameron Bure said. “This is what a healthy, good marriage and relationship is all about.”

Cameron Bure refused to apologize to any of her fanbase who may be offended by the photo

“I’m sorry if it offended you — I’m actually not sorry,” she said. “I’m glad we have fun together after so many years. He can touch me all day long.”

Cameron Bure is perhaps most famous for playing DJ Tanner in Full House. She reprised the role on the Netflix sequel, which recently finished its last season. Cameron Bure has kept busy, spending time with family and also shooting two Hallmark films in Canada.
