Rappers Cardi B and Offset are finished. Cardi B, 27, filed paperwork in an Atlanta courthouse on Tuesday seeking to dissolve their nearly three year marriage, TMZ reports.
In the filing, the “WAP” rapper claims the marriage is “irretrievably broken” with “no prospects for a reconciliation.” This after reportedly after discovering the Migos rapper, 28, had cheated again, PEOPLE is reporting.
Cardi B is also seeking custody of the couple’s 2-year-old daughter and wants the Migos member to pay child support, according to TMZ. A Nov. 4 hearing is set.
A rocky marriage
The divorce filing comes after the Cardi B said in an interview recently that her marriage had struggled but was in a good place.
“I do know that my relationship has a lot of drama and everything,” she said, according to Entertainment Tonight. “But there’s a lot of love there’s a lot of passion, there’s a lot of trust, there’s a big friendship. It’s always us against the world.”
The couple’s relationship has been a tumultuous one. In 2018, the “Bodak Yellow” rapped claimed in an now-deleted Instagram video that Offset cheated on her. She said that the couple had split up. Offset went on his social media and begged for her forgiveness and Cardi B took him back, Page 6 reported.
