Carrie Ann Inaba turned to Instagram recently to update her fans about her health. The star also takes a moment to recognize her behind-the-scenes crew in the Wednesday afternoon post.
Earlier this year, the longtime Dancing With the Stars judge announced she would be taking a leave of absence from her daytime hosting gig on the daytime talk show, The Talk.
“As you all know, I’m on a leave of absence from @thetalkcbs. And I want you all to know I’m doing great!” the dancer shared on her Insta Wednesday. “I’m working with top experts in their fields to get even healthier than I was before.”
Carrie Ann Inaba Shares Health Struggles
During a recent episode of The Talk, the 53-year-old recently up about struggling with a variety of autoimmune conditions. During the candid revelation, Inaba shared that she was fighting fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, Sjogren’s syndrome, among others.
Inaba joined the table on the popular CBS Daytime talk show as a recurring guest co-host for at least two seasons. In 2019, Carrie Ann Inaba found a permanent spot on the show. Inaba replaced longtime host Julie Chen.
Inaba Shares Appreciation for “Glam Fam” and Fans
The dancer and host continued her Instagram post by saying how much she loves and appreciates her The Talk coworkers, making sure to give a little extra recognition to those who work behind the scenes.
“I was thinking about everyone who works on The Talk and how much I love and appreciate all the folks I don’t get to interact with while I’m gone,” Inaba said.
Inaba went on to say that she was creating her own day to celebrate her stylists, or as she calls them, her “glam fam” and her “squad.”
“In this business, these people are so integral to all that you are,” the Insta post read.“They deserve a day of celebration that’s all theirs… so I made it up today that today is celebrate your #glamsquad day.”
While she has yet to announce her plans to return to the hit daytime talk show, Inaba did note that she is always ready to work hard to get to where she wants to be; both careerwise, and health-wise.
“You know me… I do everything FULL OUT,” she wrote. Inaba adds that she also wanted her fans to know how much she has appreciated their support. “I want to thank you for the love and support. Your messages have really been received with love and gratitude.”
