During Sunday’s premiere of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, actor Jason Alexander and WWE wrestler The Miz took part in a goofy selfie while on set of the popular game show.

This evening marked the return of the celebrity edition of Wheel of Fortune. The primetime episode kicked off with three huge stars of the entertainment industry. The game show welcomed former Seinfeld actor Jason Alexander and 20-time WWE titleholder Michael “The Miz” Mizanin as mentioned. To round out the group, professional dancer Cheryl Burke of Dancing With the Stars fame was the third contestant.

While Burke didn’t join in on the The Miz’s selfie, you could tell he had a blast being on the show. One look at his face says it all. Alexander amusingly points to Mizanin in the photo as The Miz points to his Wheel of Fortune name tag. If we were on the famous game show alongside hosts Pat Sajak and Vanna White, we’d be just as excited.

This is only the first of many upcoming episodes that will feature celebrities taking their turn at the wheel. After a successful initial season of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune earlier this year, the show is back for an extended second season. In fact, there’s even more on the line this time since the celebrities are playing for a $1 million prize that will go to charity.

“Selfie time! #CelebrityWheelOfFortune @jalexander1959 | @mikethemiz @americares | @connorscure,” the game show wrote on Instagram.

‘Celebrity Wheel of Fortune’ Contestant Jason Alexander Amusingly Struggles During Appearance

On Friday, Celebrity Wheel of Fortune‘s Twitter account shared a teaser clip of tonight’s Season 2 debut episode. In the clip, Jason Alexander hilariously seems to be having trouble with the clues on the game show and lets it be known.

“Pat, can I just say, that was very hard,” Alexander says to the Wheel of Fortune host. “That was, you’re supposed to do the dumbed down version for celebrities.”

The episode aired tonight in primetime on ABC, which kicked off the new celebrity season. As usual, Pat Sajak and Vanna White are holding down their hosting duties for the spinoff game show.

In addition, showrunners have already announced around 40 celebrities and professional athletes that will appear this season. The stars include actors like Anthony Michael Hall, Vivica A. Fox, and Anthony Anderson. Further, celebrity athletes like Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller and NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns will also compete for the $1 million grand prize for charity.

The celebrity edition is years in the making actually. While other game show’s have welcomed celebrities for years, Wheel of Fortune is just now getting on board with the trend. Sajak spoke to Entertainment Weekly about why it took them so long to invite celebrities on the show.

“Part of it is, we’ve always been careful about not getting the show overexposed,” Sajak said to Entertainment Weekly. “We’ve been on a very long time, and I don’t know how much Wheel is too much. But you don’t want to water the product down too much. And this seemed like the time to do it because of what’s going on in the world.”
