Chadwick Boseman Tributed by Celebrities and Friends on Would-Be 44th Birthday

On this day, actor Chadwick Boseman would be celebrating his 44th birthday. Further, celebrities and fans are honoring the Black Panther star and his undeniable talent.

At such a young age, the talented actor, philanthropist, and equal rights’ activist passed away on August 28 at the age of 43, after losing his battle with cancer. Today would’ve been his 44th birthday.

Celebrities and fans are also honoring Chadwick’s birthday though social media posts.

Chadwick’s co-stars are taking to social media, as well as many others, as they celebrate his life’s work.

Mark Ruffalo is sharing a video on Twitter. The caption reads: “Thinking of your passion, love, and your light today, @chadwickboseman. Happy Birthday. Wishing we could time travel back to this moment.”

A fan also replied to Ruffalo’s tweet saying:

“A beautiful man with such a humble presence. Wish there could’ve been many more movies with you. The big screen and audience will greatly miss you. Rest in God’s heavenly Peace. Wakanda Forever.”

Chadwick Boseman, who played Jackie Robinson and James Brown, represented the Black-American icons with sincerity and intensity before jumping into the world of the Marvel Comics’ blockbuster franchise.

With Boseman portraying the royal Black Panther, he inspired many fans, especially African-Americans, to believe in themselves, use their voices, and represent “Wakanda Forever.”

Lupita Nyong’o, who co-starred with Boswick in Black Panther, continues to honor Chadwick while sharing an Instagram and Twitter post in his honor.

Disney also updated the Marvel Studios intro for Black Panther on Disney Plus to show remembrance and honor Chadwick’s legacy.

Others continue to praise the actor’s life and work, while posting tweets.

Not only was Chadwick Boseman a tremendous actor, but he used his platform to fight for equal rights and take a stance against racism.

“Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer four years ago,” his family said in a statement after his death.

His publicist Nicki Floravante also told The Associated Press, “He died with his wife and family by his side at his home in the Los Angeles area.

“Boseman never spoke publicly about his cancer diagnosis. He’s survived by his wife and a parent,” added Fioravante.

“A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much,” his family said. “From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more – all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther.”

Boseman’s talent and skill will be remembered for years to come, but his character will also be a point of rememberance.
