Chris Daughtry Daughter: New Update About Circumstances Surrounding Her Death

The death of 25-year-old Hannah Price, daughter of rock singer Chris Daughtry, is currently not being treated as a homicide, new sources say.

Authorities found Hannah found dead in her Nashville, Tennessee home in Fentress County on Friday, Nov 12. Since then, TMZ reported that detectives told Daughtry and his family that she was a victim of homicide. However, the District Attorney of Fentress County, Jared Effler, debunked that claim earlier today.

According to The Sun, the DA released a statement this morning saying that it was “premature” and “irresponsible” to rule her death a homicide.

“This is a death investigation and any attempt to classify it as a homicide investigation at this time is premature and irresponsible,” the statement read, per the outlet.

NBC4 News also reported that the statement claimed police have not arrested anyone in connection to the death. This clears up some confusion about Daughtry’s daughter’s boyfriend, Bobby Jolly, who police arrested the same day Hannah died. Police haven’t yet revealed his charge, but it’s likely not in relation to Hannah’s death as people originally thought.

We’ll likely have to wait a while for news of the cause of death. The 25-year-old’s mother, Deanna Daughtry, posted a heartbreaking message on Instagram about the family’s loss and waiting for the autopsy results.

“My firstborn. I love you endlessly Hannah,” Deanna wrote in her caption. “Our family would like to thank you all for the outpouring of love as we grieve the loss of our daughter Hannah. We are awaiting the autopsy results to determine how Hannah sustained the injuries that caused her death. Our hearts are broken.”

Some think that Deanna referenced “injuries that caused her death” could imply foul play, but it truly is too early to tell.

Chris Daughtry Releases Heartbreaking Statement About Daughter’s Sudden Death

Yesterday, Chris Daughtry released a statement about his daughter Hannah’s death on Nov. 12.

“I am still processing the last 24 hours, I am absolutely devastated and heartbroken,” Daughtry begins in his post. “I just recently in the last week lost my mother to cancer. But I was blessed with the chance to say goodbye. And I was processing it privately. We never got to say goodbye to our precious Hannah and it’s another huge hit to our family.”

So much loss in such a short amount of time can only weigh more heavily on the family. But many fans and supporters have offered their condolences and prayers to the Daughtry family.

“Thank you for all the kind words and condolences. They are truly felt and appreciated. I am now taking time to be present with my family as we attempt to heal from this series of devastating losses,” Daughtry continued.

“Hannah, I love you and I miss you. I wish I could hold you. This hurts so deeply,” Daughtry concluded. He asked for privacy for the family and announced rescheduled shows for those he cancelled. The singer was in the middle of a tour when he heard about his daughter’s death.
