On Friday, Chris Daughtry shared that his 25-year-old daughter, Hannah, had passed away.

He quickly canceled the remainder of his tour and flew back home to Nashville after the sudden and unexpected death. There have been more advancements into the case since she was initially discovered.

Chris Daughtry Daughter’s Death Homicide

According to TMZ, detectives reportedly told Daughtry and his family that Hannah was the victim of homicide. There is still not a lot of information related to the case. Hannah’s boyfriend, Bobby Jolly, was arrested on Friday, but it’s unclear at this time if that’s connected to Hannah’s death.

He is being held at the Fentress County jail and awaiting a transfer to the Putnam County jail.

Daughtry and his entire family are completely devastated by the loss. Chris and his wife Deanna, who he met in 2000, have two 10-year-old twins, Adalynn Rose and Noah James. Deanna also had two kids from a previous relationship, Hannah and Griffin.

Recent Statement from Daughtry

At first, Daughtry gave a brief statement on Instagram stating, “Due to the unexpected death of Chris and Deanna Daughtry’s daughter, Hannah, all currently scheduled shows this weekend for Daughtry have been postponed.”

Since then, Daughtry and his family have shared more emotional and personal messages related to Hannah’s death.

“I am still processing the last 24 hours. I am absolutely devastated and heartbroken … just recently in the last week lost my mother to cancer but I was blessed with the chance to say goodbye and I was processing it privately. We never got to say goodbye to our precious Hannah and it’s another huge hit to our family,” he wrote on Facebook and shared two images of his late daughter.

Fans and members of the music industry have been quick to offer their condolences to the Daughtry family. Scott Stapp, the lead singer of Creed, wrote on Instagram, “Lifting you and your family up in [praying hands emoji] during this tragic time. So … so sorry.” Other figures like Lee Ann Womack, Josh Paul, and Rachel Potter all offered well wishes too.

Chris Daughtry has seen these kind messages and reflected on them in his post. “Thank you for all the kind words and condolences, They are truly felt and appreciated. I am now taking time to be present with my family as we attempt to heal from this series of devastating losses. Hannah, I love you and I miss you. I wish I could hold you. This hurts so deeply.”
