Chrissy Teigen Dropped by Several Major Retailers: Here Are the Ones Sticking With Her

by Anna Dunn

Chrissy Teigen has been dropped by multiple brands following accusations that she bullied a 16-year-old in 2011. The accusations, made by model and media personality Courtney Stodden, detail intense harassment from Teigen following Sodden’s marriage to a 51-year-old. The harassment included DMS telling Sodden to end their own life.

Not only that, but there are also public tweets in a similar vein. Since deleted tweets tell Sodden “I hate you,” “my Friday fantasy: you. Dirt nap” and “go. To sleep. forever.”

With Chrissy Teigen issuing an apology that confirmed a lot of the claims, more brands have dropped her cookware line. While Target dripped Teigen’s cookware line long before the scandal, other brands may have done so for different reasons.

Bloomingdale’s, which shares the same parent company to Macy’s is one of them. “They pretty much had [a deal] together … but had to cancel it,” a source told Page Six.

Brands that Are Sticking with Chrissy Teigen

Amazon is still selling Chrissy Teigen’s cookware line and books. Her books Cravings: Recipes for All the Food You Want to Eat: A Cookbook, Cravings: Hungry for More: A Cookbook, and The Pepper Thai Cookbook are all available along with her cookware.

It’s a similar story at Kohl’s, Barnes & Noble, and Walmart. All of them still sell her products.

For example, Kohl’s is still offering her “Cravings” cookbooks on its website. Conversely, Barnes & Noble is also offering the titles on its own online storefront.

Following the interview Stodden had with The Daily Beast, Teigen issued an apology.

“Not a lot of people are lucky enough to be held accountable for all their past bulls–t in front of the entire world,” Chrissy Teigen said in a tweet. “I’m mortified and sad at who I used to be. I was an insecure, attention-seeking troll. I am ashamed and completely embarrassed at my behavior.”

“But that is nothing compared to how I made Courtney feel. I have worked so hard to give you guys joy and be beloved and the feeling of letting you down is nearly unbearable, truly. These were not my only mistakes and surely won’t be my last as hard as I try but god I will try!!

Stodden said that they were actually blocked by Chrissy Teigen on twitter, and had to learn of the apology through friends. While they accept the apology, they aren’t necessarily convinced it wasn’t to save her partnerships with her brands.

“I accept her apology and forgive her. But the truth remains the same, I have never heard from her or her camp in private,” Stodden said in an Instagram post. What’ll happen next between Stodden and Teigen is unclear. For now, Teigen remains in a tentative place with her brands.
