Courtney Stodden Reportedly Wants To Join Chrissy Teigen on Oprah Winfrey Interview

Chrissy Teigen is reportedly in talks to speak to Oprah Winfrey about her previous cyberbullying… and Courtney Stodden is all for it. Well, as long as they can be there. The non-binary media personality was on their way into their show Friday at the 1720 in Los Angeles when they were asked if they would like to go on Oprah for a “Megan Markle-Type” interview with Teigen.

According to Courtney Stodden, the potential sit down with Oprah would be “really interesting” and they want to come on and share their story as well. Stodden also reportedly believes that the interview beneficial for those who have struggled with online bullying as well.

Chrissy Teigen’s Online Bullying of Courtney Stodden

Teigen was previously called out for her excessive cyberbullying of then 16-year-old, Courtney Stodden. According to Stodden, Chrissy sent one direct message that read, “I can’t wait for you to die.”

After the interview with Courtney Stodden began to circulate, Chrissy apologized about the message, claiming she was “mortified and sad” about her behavior, then described her past self as an “insecure, attention-seeking troll.” Although they accepted the apology, Stodden states they believe Teigen’s decision to apologize is an “attempt to save her business partnerships.”

Shortly after apologizing to Courtney Stodden on May 12th, Chrissy took a break from her social media accounts.

The Fallout After Courtney Stodden’s Interview

Following a social media hiatus, Chrissy then took to her Medium to address Courtney’s bullying by writing, “I’ve apologized publicly to one person, but there are others — and more than just a few — who I need to say I’m sorry to. I’m in the process of privately reaching out to the people I insulted. It’s like my own version of that show ‘My Name is Earl!’ I understand that they may not want to speak to me. I don’t think I’d like to speak to me. (The real truth in all of this is how much I actually cannot take confrontation.) But if they do, I am here and I will listen to what they have to say, while apologizing through sobs.”

Also in the post, Teigen says she’d had a humbling few weeks and adds that she was in the process of reaching out to people she’d offended to apologize to them individually. After Chrissy’s apology went public, Courtney Stodden says they have not heard from Teigen privately and that in fact, the television personality even had blocked them on Twitter.

Courtney Stodden defenders quickly jumped into Teigen’s replies, claiming the model’s apology wasn’t actually sincere. “I mean… this is all a bold face lie, tho,” one Twitter user replied. “You actually still have Courtney blocked. So, who is this Twitter apology actually for if she can’t see or respond to it??” Teigen supporters then defended her, calling Stodden attention-seeking.

For the sake of dialogue, Teigen will consider Courtney Stodden’s offer to appear in the potential interview.
