Newton Steps In

One of the NFL’s most interesting storylines of 2020 is the arrival of Cam Newton in New England. With legendary six-time Super Bowl champion QB Tom Brady now with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, all eyes are on Newton.

Consequentially, Newton is excelling under Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. In addition to 714 passing yards and two passing touchdowns, Newton is utilizing his legs with 149 rushing yards and four rushing scores in three games.

It is a stark change from the New England team fans saw with Brady. However, the results have been fairly solid for the Patriots thus far, and they will undoubtedly miss Newton against one of the NFL’s best teams.
