Craig Robinson of The Office and Eastbound & Down fame has a brand new series coming on NBC streaming platform Peacock. Killing It will find Craig playing a character named—you guessed it—Craig. He dives into the world of snake wrangling when a state-sponsored python hunt provides an opportunity to better his station. The upcoming comedy series has finally settled on a cast, and production is already underway in Louisiana.

Peacock ordered Killing It in February, and if Craig Robinson’s past roles are any indication, the upcoming comedy won’t fail to entertain.

According to Deadline, the core cast of Craig Robinson’s new series is locked in. The six actors come from a variety of backgrounds, some more recognizable than others. Jet Miller, for example, is a child actor with only a couple of credits to her name. She is set to play Craig’s daughter, Vanessa. Her pre-teen character will reportedly be subject to shared custody between Craig and his ex-wife Camille, played by Stefanie Nogueras.

Nogueras has previously appeared in shows such as Switched at Birth, Criminal Minds, and The Good Fight. Also joining the cast as Craig’s little brother Isaiah is Rell Battle. Starting his career as a comedian, Battle has landed roles on Key and Peele, Superior Donuts, The Good Doctor, and Black-ish. In Killing It, his character seems to have similar aspirations to his older brother, with less upstanding ways of pursuing them.

An Uber Driver, a Social Media Snake Hunter, and His Son

Then there’s Claudia O’Doherty. She plays an unfortunate rideshare driver named Jillian, who serves as the catalyst for Craig Robinson’s foray into the snake hunting world. Fans may recognize O’Doherty from her small role in the Seth Rogen-led movie Long Shot or her appearances on the TV series Sarah’s Channel and Squinters.

Finally, there are Brock and Corby. These two play a rival snake hunting father and son duo who have big dreams of becoming social media sensations. Scott Macarthur is set to play Brock, who presses his reluctant son Corby (Wyatt Walter) into his cameraman.

Macarthur is perhaps the most accomplished member of the cast besides Craig Robinson. Some of his more recognizable roles came in The Mick, El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, and The Righteous Gemstones.

Craig Robinson and Crew Hard at Work in New Orleans

Per Deadline, Killing It has already begun filming in New Orleans, Louisiana. The format of the first season will reportedly be 10 episodes coming in at 30 minutes long.

One of the showrunners, Dan Goor, worked with Craig Robinson on the beloved Andy Samberg comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Luke Del Tredici is also listed as a co-showrunner, writer, and producer. Joining them as executive producers are Craig Robinson, Mo Marable, and Mark Schulman.
