Hollywood A-listers Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg are finally working together on a new Netflix movie after previously hinting at collaborating on a project together. However, while filming recently, a crew member on set suffered an awful fall that resulted in serious injuries.
On Tuesday morning around 7 a.m., paramedics received an emergency call for a “long fall,” according to a TMZ report. In fact, paramedics allegedly had to use a defibrillator to jumpstart the crew member’s heart. Los Angeles Fire Department officials told TMZ that they were called to Sunset Gower Studios this morning. Supposedly a 38-year-old man fell around 60-80 feet in the air from a catwalk above the set.
However, a production source told the outlet the fall was closer to 30 feet. TMZ reported that the Netflix movie’s crew member was not wearing a safety harness at the time of the fall. The man sustained broken bones in his legs and arms in the accident. It is also unclear how the man fell from the catwalk. But it is confirmed that he is part of the new Netflix movie Me Time as a member of the film crew.
As the LAFD arrived at the studio, the man had no pulse. Medical workers immediately performed CPR before utilizing the defibrillator numerous times before restoring his heartbeat. An official told the outlet that first responders considered his condition “grave” as they arrived. But once they restored his heartbeat, the man’s condition was upgraded to “critical.”
Paramedics rushed the 38-year-old to a nearby hospital where he is currently being treated. There are no further updates on his condition as of yet or news on whether production will be delayed on the Netflix film.
