The fifth episode of “CSI: Vegas” debuted on CBS on Wednesday, Nov. 3. It was titled, “Let the Chips Fall.”
And like the previous episodes in the new series, viewers watched as the team tried to discover just what is going on in the case involving David Hodges (Wallace Langham) and the evidence that was discovered in a storage unit in the first episode.

Gil Grissom (William Petersen) and his wife, Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox), remained convinced that Hodges was framed. They don’t believe that he faked evidence in all of those cases. They are doing all they can do to keep the thousands of convictions that resulted from his work from being overturned.

Regarding the Hodges case, Grissom and Sidle believe they have found the person who framed Hodges. The suspect, whose name is Martin Kline, is a medical examiner and also an expert witness – just like Hodges.

The duo takes their findings to Maxie Roby (Paula Newsome). She advises them to fly under the radar with their ongoing investigation. Later, their investigation takes Grissom and Sidle to a “body farm.” While there, they discover that Klein took a bone sample from a body that was buried at the farm.

Suspect Approaches Grissom and Sidle in Latest ‘CSI: Vegas” Episode

Grissom and Sidle get a real surprise when Martin Kline shows up at their office. They pretend that they don’t know who he is at first. But he quickly lets them know that he is aware that he knows that they have been looking into him. He also wants to discuss the cause of death for Riley Jones. Grissom slyly refuses and Kline leaves. “He knows we’re on to him. …” Sidle tells her husband. “It’s time to get a warrant.”

Viewers then see Kline talking on his phone in the elevator. “They know. Yeah. It’s going to have to be dealt with,” he says to an unknown individual. Grissom and Sidle try to convince Roby to get a warrant for Kline. She gets them a warrant so they can search Kline’s house.

As the episode ends, Grissom and Sidle go to a crime scene where Martin Kline was found dead. Now, they are looking for the person who wanted Kline dead in order to keep their secrets. Luckily, a discovery in Kline’s home has Grissom hopeful that they have made a break in the case.

Team Also Solves Case Involving Deaths on an Airplane

Like the other previous episodes in “CSI: Vegas,” this episode also had another case the team had to solve. This latest case involved the very suspicious deaths of everyone on a cargo plane. The plane was able to land on its own after its crew had died.

Roby and company realize that the people on board died in order for someone to steal from a casino. They get a break in this case when they discover that one of the plane’s pilots had an empty piece of luggage. They realize that someone actually hid in the luggage and boarded the plane that way.

Later, Joshua Folsom (Matt Lauria) – with the help of a snowglobe – realizes that the ceiling of the plane could hold clues they missed. There he finds the evidence he needs to solve the crime and charge Laura Kennerly with the crime.
