‘CSI: Vegas’ Executive Producer Points Out Show Has Introduced Long Storyline for Show

Before we get too far along in the infancy of its first season, Outsiders, we want to give you a heads-up about a “CSI: Vegas” storyline.

Not just any storyline, but one that involves a long-standing character. “CSI” creator Anthony Zuiker spoke about having Wallace Langham, who reprises his role as David Hodges, on the show.

Zuiker says the Hodges character has been with the “CSI” franchise for most of its run on TV.

“He’s been there, I believe, probably 15 or 16 seasons,” Zuiker said. “So he definitely had the longitude and the tenure to be able to be implicated versus someone who was there for a cup of coffee.

“It’s a viable choice,” he said. “And I think the audience who are the loyalists to ‘CSI’ will understand that they should be taking that particular character seriously based on these allegations.”

Longtime Character Finds Himself Implicated In Key Case Throughout Season

Hodges finds himself implicated for having some case files from the crime lab in storage space.

The new “CSI: Vegas” show, at least through Wednesday’s episode, has four characters from the original franchise lead show on there. Petersen, Fox, and Hodges will be there throughout the season. But Paul Guilfoyle, who has reprised his role as Las Vegas Police Department Jim Brass, is also there.

Besides Newsome, other new cast members on the show include Matt Lauria, Mandeep Dhillon, and Mel Rodriguez.
