As we wait patiently for season four of “Yellowstone” to start on November 7, there may be yet another show to not-so-patiently wait for.

“Mayor of Kingstown” is created by Taylor Sheridan (creator of “Yellowstone”) and Hugh Dillon. It is an American crime thriller that will debut just a week after Kevin Costner and the rest of the Dutton family return to the screen. It will start on November 14 on Paramount+.

‘Mayor of Kingstown’ New Trailer

The 10-episode show will follow the McLusky family. They are an eery group of power brokers that live in Kingstown, Michigan. When it comes to careers and business, incarceration is just about the only thriving industry in town. The show will tackle really important current event issues such as systematic racism, inequality, and corruption.

“Mayor of Kingstown” stars Jeremy Renner, Dianne Wiest, Emma Laird, Derek Webster, Taylor Handley, Hugh Dillon, and Pha’rez Lass. The show just released a brand new trailer that warns viewers of the “jaws of the beast.”

The new trailer features all the new cast members. You can hear Jeremy Renner deliver a chilling line, “Wherever you’re from, you should go back. You won’t make it here.” In the series, Wiest plays his mother. She says to his character, “Ever since you were a little boy, you dreamed of leaving.” To which he replies, “I don’t know how to leave.”

By the looks of the trailer, “Mayor of Kingstown” is action-packed, full of drama, as well as star acting personalities.

More Information on Upcoming Series

Taylor Sheridan is known for his ability to get A-list movie actors to switch over to TV. Take for example Kevin Costner for “Yellowstone” and now Jeremy Renner.

As it turns out, Renner was beyond thrilled to be a part of the project. It all comes as more and more movie actors head to streaming services for TV projects. Some other noteworthy examples are “Big Little Lies,” “The Flight Attendant,” “Santa Clarita Diet,” “Nine Perfect Strangers,” and “Grace and Frankie.”

“I am excited to dig into the complex and rough-around-the-edges character of Mike McLusky (the Mayor of Kingstown). In a world otherwise forgotten in society, Mike serves as a flawed system of checks and balances. Taylor has brought to life a layered and poignant universe that is not only incredibly intriguing but also more relevant than ever,” Renner said, according to Variety.

It’s not going to be Renner’s only move to the TV world. The “Avengers” star will be getting his own “Hawkeye” show on Disney+. He will be joined by Hailee Steinfeld, Florence Pugh, and Alaqua Cox.

As for Taylor Sheridan, who has also made critically acclaimed films like “Wind River,” TV isn’t so different after all. The executive producer David Glasser spoke about Sheridan’s outlook on it all.

“He has a phrase he always uses: ‘We’re not making TV, we’re making a 10-hour movie.’ If we can operate making a 10-hour movie, then we will give audiences something special. That goes from the cast you see here to the way the shows are shot to the team that we work with, even down to the lenses that are used on the on the show,” Glasser said to Deadline.
