Being a captain is a full-time job. Even when you’re not on the boat, you have to be ready to give advice to your team. That’s certainly the case for “Deadliest Catch” star Captain Josh Harris.

“Deadliest Catch” recently shared a video clip from a new episode. The video shows fishermen Casey and Jeff on a boat at the dock. Casey grabs his phone and calls Josh.

“Hey Josh, how’s it going?” says Casey.

“What’s going on brother?” replies Josh.

“Well, Jeff and I are standing here. We went out fishing today. And we got two marlin today,” says Casey. “But bottom fishing wasn’t hot.”

“Yea, and we got busted up pretty bad,” adds Jeff. “I do think the fish are around, I just don’t think we’re going to the right spot. And we always talk about current info, you know.”

After hearing about his team’s frustrations, the “Deadliest Catch” offers an idea.

“Yea, well, I’ve been doing my homework over here,” says Josh. “And Pier 38 man, that’s the mecca center. I bet you if you go over there, you’ll run into someone who can tell you what to do, give you some ideas.”

“That’s a good idea,” says Casey.

“That’s the best I can think of from where I’m at,” says Josh.

The clip then cuts to Josh who explains exactly why Pier 38 is the “mecca” for people fishing in the area.

“Pier 38 is the only fish market of its kind in the US. Fishermen go there to sell directly to the wholesalers,” says Josh. “If anyone knows where the deep seven are biting on that island, they’re going to be at the pier.”

“Alright, well, we’ll go to Pier 38 early in the morning,” says Casey. “See if we can’t find any intel.”

You got this,” says Josh. “Lighting can strike twice.”

“Very true, very true buddy,” says Casey.

Along with the video, “Deadliest Catch” wrote, “When Casey and Jeff have a hard time getting fish to bite, Josh helps out with some research. Watch #DeadliestCatch: Bloodline NOW on @discovery or streaming on @discoveryplus.”

Will ‘Deadliest Catch’ Star Josh Harris Make Hawaii His New Home?

Since the debut of “Deadliest Catch: Bloodlines” last year, Josh Harris and his crew have found success in Hawaii. So, is Harris considering setting up shop in the Aloha State?

“Well, we’re looking at it because our model for the fishing business is “from the hook to the plate in 48,'” said Josh during a recent interview. “But for the most part, though, yes… I mean, I could definitely see myself getting a place in Hawaii and fishing that out for months at a time because there’s a lot of money to be made.”
