Things in the world of Dog the Bounty Hunter are pretty dramatic these days. However, he says that the family drama will not stop him from marrying Francie Frane.
The reality television star’s given name is Duane Chapman. He and Frane plan to get married in September. According to an interview he gave to Us Weekly, Chapman plans to have many of his family members in attendance at the upcoming wedding.
“I have a large family and most of them are going to be here for it. I love all my kids and it’s going to be great to have so many people here to celebrate,” Chapman said on Tuesday, Aug. 24.
The 68-year-old star then went on to vow that he would not let anything get in the way of his upcoming nuptials.
“We’ve spent so long on this to ensure it’s going to be just perfect and believe me, nothing is going to get in the way of us,” Dog the Bounty Hunter also said.
While he expects some members of his family to attend his wedding, there are members of the family Dog the Bounty Hunter has not invited to the event. According to Fox News, these family members are his daughters.
One of these individuals is his step-daughter, Cicily Chapman. She is the reality star’s stepdaughter. Her mother is his late wife, Beth Chapman. Beth passed away in 2019 due to throat cancer. His other daughter, Bonnie Chapman, is a biological daughter Dog the Bounty Hunter shared with Beth. On the other hand, Garry, a biological son of Champan and Beth, has been asked to attend the wedding.

Cicily is arguing that she and her sister, Bonnie, were not invited to the Sept. 2 wedding because they look too much like their mother. Cicily told TMZ that she believes Chapman is trying to replace their mother. And, Cicily claims, he is failing to do so.
“My only guess or idea would be that he’s just not really on the same path as me and my sister. What I’m seeing personally is just my dad is having a hard time dealing with the fact that maybe he’s not going to be able to replace my mom and that me and Bonnie bring a lot out from my mom and he sees our mom in us,” Cicily also said.
Cicily said that she believes that Dog the Bounty Hunter is “scared.”
“I feel like that scares him. Yes, he can move on,” she also said. “Yes, he can get married again – that’s not the problem. I just think he’s too scared that we remind him too much of my mother.”
Cicily said that she and her sister believe that their father’s bride-to-be is a “great lady.”
“… she’s never done anything to us,” Dog the Bounty Hunter’s daughter said of Frane. “So that’s why I feel that this is more of a personal thing with my dad towards us girls because we do resemble my mom a lot …”
Dog the Bounty Hunter and Francie Frane got engaged within a year of Beth Chapman’s death. He also said that he is “sad” that Cicily and Beth won’t be at the wedding.
