Iconic rapper, producer and entrepreneur Dr. Dre is reportedly in an L.A. hospital after suffering a brain aneurysm.

TMZ reported the news late Monday evening “after sources connected to Dre and with direct knowledge” updated the outlet on the music legend’s current condition.

The news outlet also reported Dre’s condition as ‘stable and lucid,’ but that medical professionals at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center are not yet aware of what caused the bleeding in his brain.

Dre, born Andre Young, became one of the biggest names in music throughout the 1990s thanks to his work with N.W.A. as well as his wildly successful solo projects, The Chronic and 2001.

As Dr. Dre, Young has received 29 nominations for Grammy Awards. Further, the rap legend has won six Grammys. Most notably, the 1994 award for Best Rap Solo Performance for ‘Let Me Ride,’ as well as the 2001 award for Best Rap Album for 2001.

The now 55-year-old also produced a wide array of albums for other rap stars such as Eminem and Snoop Dogg, before going on to make a signature headphone line called, ‘Beats By Dre.’ During May of 2014, tech giants Apple bought the company from the mogul for around $3 billion.
