Media mogul and music industry icon Dr. Dre is said to be doing better after being hospitalized earlier this week.
The rapper reportedly suffered a brain aneurysm and is in the process of recovering at a Southern California hospital. Dre says he is getting excellent care at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and is feeling much better. He took to social media on Tuesday to thank his fans for their support and well-wishes during his recovery.
“Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes,” he write in the Instagram post. “I am doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!”
Dr. Dre has over five million social media follower and the post saw more than 1 million likes within 12 hours of its posting.
Dr. Dre Mansion Sight of Failed Burglary Attempt.
While staying in the hospital, Dr. Dre’s $40 million southern California mansion was reportedly the target of a burglary ring. He bought the home from NFL superstar Tom Brady and his wife Gisele Bündchen. The deluxe mansion resides in the upscale Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Law enforcement officials working the case say nothing was taken from the home. Police say they initially believed the home of Vice President Kamala Harris’ to be the target of the burglary ring. Officials say the burglars attempted to break into the mansion at around 10 p.m. Tuesday evening but could not get inside.
Police spotted an SUV believed to be involved in the unsuccessful burglary attempts. After a brief chase involving the SUV and officers, four individuals were apprehended and taken into custody in Pacific Palisades. Investigators say inside the SUV they found a backpack full of tools typically used in a burglary attempt. Inside the pack were found crowbars, saws and other tools.
