Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson Huff will soon give birth to her first child, and she has now announced her daughter’s name.

It’s been a joy for fans of Sadie Robertson Huff to watch the 23-year-old go through the journey of pregnancy. Each update is a new chapter in her personal story, as well as her daughter’s.

Speaking of which, the Duck Dynasty star took to Instagram to provide a new and all-important update. Referencing her and husband Christian Huff’s desire to release the name herself, she announced the name on April 23.

She captions the post:

“Going ahead and telling the world our sweet babies name,” Robertson Huff writes. “Because i would rather y’all hear it from me and christian then things going around. this little girl and her name already mean the world to us 💛

Honey James Huff.”

And there you have it. Honey will be the name of Sadie’s first child, and considering how sweet her mother is, it only makes sense that would show through in her daughter’s name.

Duck Dynasty Star Sadie Robertson Gives More Info

Sadie didn’t mince words in her post, adding plenty of additional info behind the choice. She begins by quoting a verse from Proverbs.

“Gracious words are like HONEY, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.”

The verse means a lot to Sadie, who explains that she’s always gravitated towards it. In addition, she adds that early on in her and Christian Huff’s relationship she used the verse to describe how he treats her.

The Duck Dynasty star also adds a small anecdote to further deepen the meaning and story behind the name Honey.

“On our first date we went to do pottery together and on my cup i simply wrote ‘honey,'” Robertson writes. “Because i called him the boy with the honey words. Fast forward 2 and a half years later and we have a daughter on the way who we so proudly get to name after one of the loveliest words. Not to mention this word reminds me of my great grandma who calls everyone she loves honey.”

It’s clear that the word and sentiment for the word Honey goes straight to Robertson’s heart.

Alongside a message saying that they will make an account for their daughter when she is born and any accounts made with their daughter’s name are fake, she sends a sweet note to her soon-to-be-born daughter.

“Oh Honey, you are named with such intention,” Robertson concludes. “I pray over you all the time that you would be sweet and strong and you know what? I already know it that you are. Those words will be your super power in life. We can’t wait to meet you and see your story unfold before our eyes 🍯”
