Sadie Robertson Huff, star of Duck Dynasty, loves being a mother. The 24-year-old gave birth two months ago to her daughter, Honey James, and she wants to celebrate commemorate the moment.

She wrote a long and loving Instagram post to her daughter on Sunday. And she thanked God for bringing Honey into her life.

“Honey J is 2 months old today,” she wrote. “We loved getting to share our birth story this week with all of you! Thank you so much for the positive response. …

“So many of you asked about my worship playlist that I had playing during labor and asked about the other ways that I had prepared. I actually just made my own playlist during the time I was pregnant with her. … I will link my album in my story, but I honestly encourage anyone going into labor or in their own particular season to create their own album because of how personal the words became…”

“I’ve always loved the verse in Joshua when it talks about being strong and courageous. However, it has always kind of intimidated me because sometimes it’s hard to be strong and courageous. One day I realized that right before God commands Joshua to be strong and courageous, He tells Him to not let the book of the law depart from His mouth and to meditate on the word.

“I realized finally that the two go hand in hand. When you (meditate) on the word of God and the power of the word then you realize you don’t have much to fear and it makes you strong and courageous. …

Sadie Robertson Huff Says Daughter Got ‘Stuck’

Sadie Robertson Huff discussed her birthing story on the most recent episode of her Woah, That’s Good podcast. She explained that the birth wasn’t an easy one, especially after Honey got “stuck” during her delivery.

“All of a sudden I was pushed down on the bed, they pushed my mom out of the way and every nurse in the room was just over me, and they were pulling my legs and pushing my stomach as hard as they could. I thought they cut me open because of how painful it was when they pressed on my stomach. Now I know they were pressing my pelvis bone to get her out because what happened was Honey got stuck. Her shoulder got stuck,” she said, according to US Weekly.

Making matters worse was the umbilical cord had gotten wrapped around Honey’s neck. For two terrifying minutes, doctors and nurses worked to free the baby.

Thankfully, they were able to free the baby and deliver her without any other incident.
