Sadie Robertson took to Instagram on Monday to praise her husband, Christian Huff, after he stood up for her after she faced ridicule while speaking about a vulnerable moment.
The Duck Dynasty star explains she was telling a group about a time a “guy really hurt” her. While speaking of the emotional past event, two male audience members started to audibly laugh.
Robertson quickly stood up for herself, saying, “You laugh, but it’s these kind of things that ruins a girl.” She then realized Huff was also quick to stand up for her. He took the boys outside to talk to them about respect and calling them to show greater maturity.
“Cancel culture” now crowds social media, but Robertson challenges her followers to enlighten people, rather than cancel and bash them.
She concluded her post by commending Huff’s growth, “This man is a good one. He will be the first to tell you he used to be like those two guys, but Jesus called him to greater and He rose to the call.”
On Tuesday, Huff posted one of the same images to his Instagram account, captioned “my best friend.”
Sadie Robertson Huff and Christian Huff will be celebrating their first wedding anniversary this November. They tied the knot in a small ceremony on her family’s Louisiana farm.
