“Duck Dynasty” star Sadie Robertson Huff is living her best life. The reality star is excited to be a mother, and she wants the whole world to know it.
Like many of the Robertson clan, Robertson Huff uses social media to keep her fans in the loop. And since the day she discovered she was pregnant, the “Duck Dynasty” star has chronicled her pregnancy on Instagram for her followers. On Sunday, June 27, Robertson Huff answered some of her fans’ burning questions in an Instagram Q&A. And she also opened up about giving birth as well.
One fan asked Sadie if she felt pretty after giving birth.
“I don’t know if ‘pretty’ is the word, but I’ve never felt more confident in my life with my body than the day that I had Honey,” the “Duck Dynasty” star wrote in response. She also shared a photo of herself and her husband Christian in the delivery room.
Robertson Huff elaborated on why she felt confident in that moment. Robertson revealed that giving birth isn’t the most glamorous moment. But the experience made her feel stronger and more powerful.
“It was a total different perspective than I have ever had of my body… that is truly powerful and more than just an image. I didn’t want to wear makeup and I wanted my grandma to braid my hair because that’s when I feel the most myself and it just such a raw moment,” Robertson Huff continued.
‘Duck Dynasty’ Star on Pregnancy Journey
The “Duck Dynasty” star also revealed she wanted to teach her daughter to be positive about her own body as well. And that starts by being a role model for her and teaching her to accept who she is, flaws and all.
“I want Honey to be confident in who she is and the way her body was created and so I need to model that for her,” Robertson Huff wrote.
The “Duck Dynasty” star announced to fans last year that she was pregnant. But Robertson Huff might have been considering her baby’s first name for some time. It all stretches back to the first date that she had with her husband Christian. That first date ended up helping inspired the name Honey, thanks to some pottery skills on Robertson Huff’s part.
“On our first date, we went to do pottery together, and on my cup, I simply wrote ‘honey’ because I called him the boy with the honey words,” she shared in another Instagram post. “Fast forward 2 and a half years later, and we have a daughter on the way who we so proudly get to name after one of the loveliest words. Not to mention this word reminds me of my great-grandma, who calls everyone she loves honey.”
