We’re not crying, you’re crying. ‘Tis the season of giving thanks, and few are more deserving of it than the men and women who serve our country. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson recently showed his gratitude to Navy veteran Oscar Rodriguez in a BIG way.

The Red Notice star paid a surprise visit to a Los Angeles movie theater ahead of his new movie’s screening. Naturally, the crowd flipped out when the man, the myth Dwayne Johnson walked through the doors. Among those excited fans was one gem of a man named Oscar Rodriguez. The Rock shouted the Navy veteran out for all he does and, well, watch the video below to see how it all played out.
For a bit of background, Oscar Rodriguez is a personal trainer, a leader in his local church, volunteers to help female victims of domestic abuse, and he does it all while taking care of his 75-year old mother.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson called Oscar up on stage to recognize him for all of the work he does for his community. And it’s safe to say Rodriguez was blown away. He’s a massive fan of The Rock, drawing inspiration from the actor’s motivational posts on Instagram.
“I’m just speechless,” Oscar told Johnson. “This is such a blessing, man. It’s so good to meet you. I feel so encouraged right now, so uplifted. You’re the man, dude.”
Oscar Rodriguez Is the Proud New Owner of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s Personal Truck
After addressing the crowd in the theater, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson brought Oscar outside. Johnson told Rodriguez he wanted to “show him something real quick.” The Red Notice star then opened up his truck door to retrieve a letter he wrote for the Navy veteran.
And this is where our tears really started flowing. “Thank you for your service, brother,” Oscar read from the card. “Enjoy your new truck-“
Reading those words, Oscar Rodriguez collapsed to the ground in disbelief. He questioned what was happening and, when he finally realized, embraced Dwayne Johnson with one of the most heartwarming bearhugs we’ve ever seen.
“You do a lot of good for people, man,” Johnson told Rodriguez. And once Oscar got his tears under control, he came to another realization.
“I thought this was your truck, bro,” he told Johnson. Indeed, it was Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s personal truck—the one Oscar had seen in countless Instagram posts.
Now it’s Oscar’s. A fitting gift for a more than deserving man. But great as the act of kindness must have felt for Johnson, he forgot to plan a ride home. We’d like to think Oscar dropped him off.
