While some country stars spent this Halloween putting on their best Elvis Presley (we’re looking at you, Jon Pardi), Elvis’ granddaughter opted for another classic take instead. Like the Pistol Annies girl group, Riley Keough channeled her inner Sanderson sister with a take on “Hocus Pocus” this year. That’s pretty good timing too because Disney just announced their cast for the much-anticipated sequel to the beloved witchy series.

Riley Keough’s costume reveal comes a few days late but between acting, singing, and modeling, we’re sure she’s got a lot on her plate. The caption of her Instagram post says “what a week” followed by a cute little jack o’lantern emoji. Although she decided to forgo the cauldrons and potions, her Sanderson wig is simply unmistakable. Keough reveals the full costume over a series of three panels.

Fans in the comments can’t get enough of their “Daisy,” referencing her work on “Daisy Jones and the Six.” Based on Taylor Reid’s critically-acclaimed novel of the same name, Amazon continues to keep its official release date under wraps. Filming of the series halted at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic but resumed as of September of this year. Fingers crossed for an early 2022 release.

A Fascination With Death and a Certification to Prove It

America’s edgy sweetheart Riley Keough has never shied away from the grim or gory. Apparently, she also has quite a fascination with death. On Instagram, less than a year after her brother’s passing, she revealed her certification as a death doula. The lengthy Instagram caption reads as follows:

“We are taught that its a morbid subject to talk about. Or were so afraid of it that we’re unable to talk about it… then of course it happens to us, and we are very ill prepared,” she wrote. “I think it’s so important to be educated on conscious dying and death the way we educate ourselves on birth and conscious birthing. We prepare ourselves so rigorously for the entrance and have no preparation for our exit.”

Riley Keough Reveals Her Mom’s Odd Birthday Tradition and it Involves a Gorilla Costume

In talking to Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show, Riley Keough revealed a strange birthday tradition that comes from her mother. Apparently, if her mom can’t make it to her birthday celebrations, she sends a musical tribute to make up for the absence. It’s not just any old birthday gift, though. It involves a “gorilla gram.” Basically, she pays for someone to dress up in a gorilla suit and tutu and then dance to celebrate the occasion. I think we’d prefer a Sanderson sister impersonator, but you can make that call.
