Elvis Presley’s ex-girlfriend Linda Thompson takes to social media to share a rare clip of the two boarding his jet, the Lisa Marie.

A year before Elvis Presley’s death, he and longtime girlfriend Linda Thompson were caught on camera boarding his prized private jet, the Lisa Marie, named after his only child. The rare clips show the couple of nearly four years catching yet another flight due to Elvis Presley’s taxing and rigorous touring schedule.

Linda Thompson, former Miss Tennessee, and model reposted the video uploaded by Elvis World to her Instagram story. The clip shows the two walking up the steps to the airplane while Elvis Presley reaches over and signs autographs for adoring fans.

“Rare footage of Elvis Presley embarking on The Lisa Marie at the Philadelphia Airport on June 29th, 1976. He and his entourage were heading to Richmond, where Elvis would held an evening concert at the Richmond Coliseum… The King was wearing the Penguin Suit and, while on his way up to the plane, had stopped to talk with fans waiting for him next to the airstair. We can also see Linda Thompson (@ltlindathompson) going up the airstair in a beautiful printed long dress.”

Furthermore, the video had Elvis Presley’s rendition of “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain” playing. The tune is featured on Presley’s 1976 album, From Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, Tennessee.

Linda Thompson was one of many women to be courted and swooned by the King.

Was Elvis Presley a Good Kisser?

One of Elvis Presley’s co-stars on Paradise, Hawaiian Style, Suzanna Leigh, couldn’t help but dish on the two’s on-screen chemistry. Leigh, who played Judy ‘Friday’ Hudson in the movie, was Elvis Presley’s Rick Richard character’s love interest.

In her 2003 autobiography, Leigh dished on more than the movie. She also recalled Elvis Presley’s kissing abilities in Paradise, Suzanna Style. We know the man can sing, but what else were his lips good for?

“His kisses held an intensity that melted my very being. I slipped my arms around his neck and our bodies entwined. This was all madness, but we didn’t stop. A person could go to the gallows with such a kiss lingering on their lips, knowing life had been good.”

We are going to go out on a limb and say he excelled at kissing as well.

Not only did Suzanna Leigh, who was a huge Elvis Presley fan, compliment his lip-locking abilities, but she also states that Elvis was great on screen.

“Elvis was a fabulous actor, very underrated by a lot of the conventional theatre people.”

What can’t he do? He could sing, act, and kiss. What else can you ask for in a man? Probably not much!

Unfortunately, the King died at his home in Graceland in 1977. He was 42-years-old at the time.
