âMahalo big island for always holding my heart,â says Riley Keough. When youâre the granddaughter of Elvis Presley, vacationing in Hawaii is a must.
As one fan comments, âIt actually does look like heaven!â We couldnât agree more. Riley Keough is living her best life on the Big Island as she vacations with a whole family of friends in Hawaii. Courtesy of her official Instagram, Keoughâs sharing several shots of gorgeous shores, resorts, and good times had by all.
Like her grandfather â the one and only Elvis Presley â Riley is an extremely hard worker. Sheâs absolutely earned herself a vacation after completing her intense filming, then press tour, for A24 digital-age thriller, ZOLA. And what better place to do so than her grandfatherâs favorite getaway?

From Elvis Presley to Riley Keough: Hawaii is Queen
Thereâs no doubt actor and singer Riley Keough grew up on tales of her grandfatherâs Hawaiian exploits. From filming hit movies like Blue Hawaii and Girls, Girls, Girls, to his own frequent getaways to the now-infamous Coco Palms Resort, Elvis Presley lived for Hawaii.
So much so, in fact, that the King of Rock ânâ Roll would never hesitate to escape to the tropical island for anything and everything. Pleasure, business, and everything in-between, it didnât matter what it was so long as Elvis was in Hawaii.
Of the three films he shot in the Aloha State, Blue Hawaii is the most notable. Through his love of the locale, people, and culture, Paradise, Hawaiian Style and Girls, Girls, Girls would follow. The late Kingâs estate celebrates his familyâs love of the islands often, too, with throwbacks like this one:
ââI can sing this song all day.â â Elvis Presley,â his estate captions a recently-posted photo on their official Twitter. Within, Elvis wears his iconic Blue Hawaii surf shorts as he plays acoustic guitar on the Hawaiian shore:
The vivid throwback image comes from Blue Hawaii. Specifically, it comes from his performance of âNo More,â one of the movieâs many iconic tracks. And since we Outsiders are such massive Elvis Presley fans â you can check out his performance of the song, alongside the full lyrics right here.
Today, it seems like his grandaughter, Hollywoodâs indie darling Riley Keough, has fully inherited his love of the islands. In fact, sheâs been in Hawaii for the past week now living it up with friends. From tree-top rope courses, to bikini-laden lagoons, Keough absolutely has the adventurous blood of Elvis Presley coursing through her insanely talented veins.
