“Entourage” star Adrian Grenier is the latest celebrity ditching Hollywood to live on a farm. The actor is focused on sustainable living. So much so, he decided to pack up and leave Tinseltown for a farm he bought near Austin, Texas.

Grenier’s farm is located in Bastrop, Texas. It sits near both the Colorado River and a wildflower field as well, giving the actor a scenic view. In an interview with Austin Life, Grenier discussed the reason he decided to move to a farm. For Grenier, Austin is the best of both worlds between the limelight of the city and the anonymity of nature.

“I bought a place in Austin five years ago and a year ago I decided to move here permanently,” Grenier told the outlet. “I had friends here, I ran a business here, and liked the pace. Austin is cosmopolitan without being snooty; it’s earthy. People are smart and successful but they don’t flaunt it.”

Grenier made the move back in December and hasn’t looked back. Instead, Grenier wants to establish a wildlife sanctuary on his farm. Ideally, Grenier’s property would become a safe haven for bees, birds, and butterflies. The actor also wants to acquire llamas and alpacas as well.

‘Entourage’ Star and His Sustainability Venture

So far, Adrian Grenier and his partner Jordan have been hard at work on their sustainability venture. For instance, they’re growing a number of plants and trees on the property. They grow their own fruit such as peaches, apples, avocados, and figs for instance. Eventually, they plan to catch their own fish from a pond on their property as well.

But don’t call Grenier a farmer just yet. He prefers the term apprentice instead on his social media. After all, the actor still has a lot to learn about the lay of the land. He’s making strides though. For instance, Grenier co-founded Lonely Whale, an organization trying to reduce plastic in the oceans. He is also a UN Environment Programme Goodwill Ambassador.

The “Entourage” star decided to make a change when he felt he wasn’t living a sustainable life.

“I have been doing environmental work for the last 20 years, I’ve started organizations and run non-profits, all designed to tell people to live more in line with nature—and yet, I wasn’t living that way,” Greiner continued. “In many ways, I reached the apex of that promise—if you work hard, you become famous, then you make a lot of money… but it was lackluster at the top.”
