The holidays just got a whole lot sweeter. Clint Eastwood fans can stream an obscene number of the legendary actors’ works across HBO Max and Netflix. The 91-year-old actor is back to his old tricks with the release of his latest film Cry Macho now streaming on HBO Max.
Born in San Francisco, California in 1930, Clint grew up with a keen interest in mechanics and music. The Eastwood family eventually relocated to Washington in 1949 where Clint worked regular jobs as a 19-year-old living in the Pacific Northwest. Clint returned to California to pursue acting a few years later. After landing a few small roles here and there, Clint caught his big break as The Man with No Name in Sergio Leone’s trilogy of westerns: A Fistful of Dollars (1964), For A Few Dollars More (1965), and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966). Fast forward to today, and Clint Eastwood has made history as the oldest actor to star about the title in a movie with the release of Cry Macho (2021).
Cry Macho marks Eastwood’s first time acting since his appearance in the 2018 crime drama The Mule. Clint plays the part of a one-time rodeo star and washed-up horse breeder in the uplifting new drama. Throughout his journey, Eastwood finds himself tasked with bringing a man’s young son home away from his alcoholic mom. Along the way, the two find forgiveness and rediscover what it means to be good men. Cry Macho is now streaming exclusively on HBO Max.
While you’re on HBO Max, the streaming service has an entire “Clint Eastwood Collection” available for your viewing pleasure. Not only does the compilation features some of Clint Eastwood’s most famous works, but it also has an impressive list of some of the prolific actor’s favorite movies. This includes everything from the iconic film Cool Hand Luke to documentaries Best in Show and A Mighty Wind to the wildly celebrated comedy, The Hangover. Additionally, the long list continues with a series of features spotlighting Eastwood’s longstanding filmmaking career and process, titled Clint Eastwood: A Cinematic Legacy.
