The Expendables 4 is coming and there is a lot to talk about. One of the stars of the movie, Iko Uwais, got to join in on the action-packed fun.

Uwais is a martial artist and star of The Raid. He is joining the star-studded cast that includes legends like Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, and Dolph Lundgren. When these movies first came out they had a plan to pack as many of the world’s top action heroes into one film. Each one seems to add another member to the cast.

Uwais couldn’t be more excited to work with his fellow cast members. In an interview with Okezone, the Indonesian martial artist and actor talked about the opportunity to work with the big names we’ve come to expect from The Expendables.

“Experience is very valuable,” he said. “For me to share a frame with senior players, who have a lot of experience. There are a lot of things that we share, what we think about them, beyond expectations.”

One of the most exciting parts about Uwais’ part in the film is that he is playing the bad guy. So, he’s going to have to go toe-to-toe with the genre’s greatest ever. It should be another movie packed with as many muscles, guns, and other kickass stuff that has made the Expendables franchise so popular.

New Bad Guy, New Story, Same Great Action in Expendables 4

So we know that Uwais is set to be the bad guy. However, we don’t know a whole lot else about the plot. As far as what fans can expect, let’s talk about the small details. Uwais is a former military officer who now has his own private army and, of course, deals arms on the side.

A former military higherup using their connections to turn into an illegal arms dealer… Stallone and company have been through this before. In typical Expendables fashion, there is going to be a dire situation where thousands if not millions of lives are going to be at risk. Fans that aren’t familiar with Uwais, are going to be very impressed with his martial arts work and stunt work when this hits theaters.

On the good guy side of things, Jason Statham is joining Stallone, Randy Couture, Dolph Lundgren, as well as Terry Crews. Those are just the familiar names and faces. On top of those members of the cast, 50 Cent, and Megan Fox. Also, martial arts master Tony Jaa will be involved in the new movie as well.

We know that Stallone is stepping back from the franchise, so he will only have a small part in the movie. Statham and his character Lee Christmas will take over as the lead.
