You’re not going to want to miss the fall finale of FBI because the 2021 closure is gearing up to be intense.

The December 14th episode titled Unfinished Business will surround Vargas—the ultimate antagonist—as he gets revenge on the people who put him behind bars.

And CBS used some pretty “chilling” words to describe the episode. Read them below.

“After Rina is critically wounded while heading to work with Jubal, the team makes the chilling discovery that a vengeful Vargas (David Zayas) orchestrated the shooting from behind bars and continues to target the rest of their team and their loved ones.”

Luckily, “critically wounded” means that Rina at least makes it to the hospital. So he has a chance to survive. But we don’t know what the drug lord has in store for the remaining agents. And it’s unnerving to think that Vargas could hurt or even kill their families.

For our Outsiders who need a recap, Antonio Vargas is probably the most sinister and intelligent criminal on FBI, which is a terrible combination. The jailbird leads the Durango Cartel, and he’s the most infamous drug lord in the world.

Vargas was on the run for over six years after killing at least seven people—including an FBI agent. And judging by the synopsis, he’s trying to make it two by targeting agent Rina Trenholm.

Agent Maggie Bell Also Takes a Bullet on ‘FBI’

To make matters worse, the official promo for next week’s FBI episode shows that Rina isn’t the only agent who will fall victim to Antonio Vargas.

Just as the promo begins, Maggie Bell takes a bullet while in pursuit. Fortunately, the agent is wearing a bulletproof vest, and it likely saved her life. But the shot knocked Maggie to the ground. And the incident could very well leave her sidelined while the other agents race to figure out how Vargas is orchestrating the attacks while behind bars.

Judging by the synopsis and promo, FBI fans are bound to watch an epic episode. And even if Rina survives the attack, her career with the bureau may be at risk. It’s both mentally and physically challenging to overcome such a traumatic event.

But aside from the obvious drama that’s in store for Rina’s, quite a few supporting characters are also in danger since Vargas is targeting “their families.” And FBI isn’t scared to kill off its much-loved characters. A few of the people who could be at risk include Jubal’s son and ex-wife, and Maggie’s sister.
