Fixer Upper star Joanna Gaines has a lot of talents in life (and we do mean a lot). She’s a world-famous interior decorator, renovation specialist, restauranteur, mother, wife, and business owner. And according to her latest Instagram post, she can also produce adorable viral animal videos—with the help of her two-year-old son.
When Joanna Gaines isn’t filming Fixer Upper: Welcome Home or designing a new line for Target’s Hearth and Hand with Magnolia, she’s hanging out with her family. Joanna shares five children with her husband Chip: Drake, 16; Ella Rose, 13; Duke, 12; Emmie Kay, 11; and Crew, 2.
The couple also runs a 40-acre farm in Texas. Chip and Joanna have horses, cows, chickens, dogs, cats, rabbits, and more. We don’t know just how many animals live on the Gaines farm. But everyone who watched Fixer Upper knows that Chip loved coming home and surprising his kids with new pets. So, there are a lot.
And recently, someone brought two new kittens home for the youngest Gaines member, Crew. The toddler loves hanging with his new friends in the barn. And today, Joanna gave us a little glimpse into playtime when she recorded a “show” that the trio put on.
“Crew & his barn kittens putting on their first show,” she captioned.
In the recording, two tiny, grey kittens jump through a hole in a barn. After emerging, they appear adorably confused as they rest on a stair. Then they hop back through the hole, disappearing for a short time only to pop back out. By the end of the clip, we see Crew’s tiny hand waving through the opening, showing that he is shooing the kittens through the hole. And Joanna attached a wholesome whistling tune to the theatrics that matches the show’s vibe perfectly.
Chip Gaines Says His Fixer Upper Wife Lets Him Be Himself
Chip and Joanna Gaines have a rock-solid marriage. The two have a flawless way of supporting each other and putting their family first. And every time the couple makes a public appearance, it’s evident that they’re hopelessly in love.
During a 2016 interview with I Am Second, Chip gushed about his wife and explained that her ability to let him be himself is one of the many reasons he loves her so much.
“I think that’s one of the reasons that I love her like I do,” Chip said. “I mean, I feel like she knows me in a way that has caused me to stop acting. You know?”
The Fixer Upper co-host then revealed that he spent many years of his life pretending to be someone he wasn’t. Then when he met Joanna, she helped him feel more comfortable in his own skin.
“I feel like I’ve really been an actor. I’ve been a character my whole life,” he shared. “I’ve always tried to prove something to someone.”
